About TOVSAR: We are a volunteer wilderness Search & Rescue group offering search management, ground search, and semi-technical rescue for missing people and aircraft. Our primary response area is Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah and Warren Counties and the City of Winchester in Virginia, but we will respond anywhere in Virginia and neighboring states through our association with Virginia's Department of Emergency Management. We are an all-volunteer team that trains monthly and we welcome interested people to join us.
Search is an Emergency: If someone is lost now, call 911 or 0 (for Operator) and request the assistance of your local Police or Sheriff’s Office. They are in charge of any search for a missing person and will request our assistance as needed.
