Notes: A 10-year old boy from New Jersey became separated from his family at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, while hiking down Dark Hollow Falls Trail near Big Meadow. Rangers conducted hasty searches and called for outside SAR people beginning just after 4:00 p.m. TOVSAR responded with 3 bloodhound teams, our SAR vehicle, and 15 members. The boy was found approx. one mile from the point last seen, near 7:30 p.m. on Monday, minus his shoes and glasses, with minor injuries, and transported to the hospital. TOVSAR also provided radio communications for the search.
